Team Stuburt on Tour in 2008
Heading Team Stuburt in 2008 are two of the most successful European Ryder Cup stars - David Howell and Darren Clarke. Joining them this year are Irish Tour golfer Peter Lawrie and South African Louis Oosthuizen, two of the growing talents in the game.
Since beginning his relationship with Stuburt in 2004, Englishman David Howell has risen through the World Golf Ranking to a career high No. 13, and remains unbeaten in two Ryder Cups. In 2006 he missed the European Order Of Merit title by a whisker, thwarted by injury after leading the race for the title for most of the year. In 2008 he wears the Stuburt Professional waterproof suit and the highly rated Stuburt Helium Pro golf shoes.
Ulster golfer Darren Clarke joined Team Stuburt in 2008, and is helping the company to develop a new range of golf shoes. One of Europe's most successful and popular golfers, he inspired the European team to victory in the 2006 Ryder Cup, and was runner-up in that year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year TV poll.
Irishman Peter Lawrie wears Stuburt waterproofs and the Helium Pro golf shoe on around the world while playing on the European Tour. Winner of the 2003 Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year award on the European Tour, Lawrie is a succesful globetrotting pro having played on both the Asian Tour and the US 'Mini Tour' in Florida.
South African Louis Oosthuizen, one of the hottest young players from South Africa, started wearing Stuburt golf shoes on Tour in 2007, and hit a streak of form in May with two successive 4th-place finishes. He is a young man to watch out for...
